Day trip to Outlander TV locations plus dinner with Diana

17/08/2014

On this day we were having dinner with Diana at night in Edinburgh so on the way way South we decided to visit a few different filming locations.  First we stopped at Falkland (Inverness) where we stood where Jamie stood while looking up at Claire’s window.  We looked into the window that Claire looked into to dream of owning the blue vase and walked the streets that Claire and Frank walked in 1945.

Then we travelled to Culross (Cranesmuir) and walked the streets and found Gellis Duncan’s house and the gardens that doubled for Castle Leoch’s gardens.

Finally we went to Lallybroch.

At night we had dinner with Diana at the Surgeon’s Hall in Edinburgh.  Lovely meal with tablet from Outlandish Bakers and also met Adhamh O Broin the Gaelic consultant for the show.

  1. Stumbled upon your site-absolutely great reading and pics! I just read about the cave-amazing history, which will be a part of season 3 (I assume ). Will look forward to reading past posts now, and certainly future posts! My thanks to all of you that contribute and share.
